UDHAMPUR, Dec 31: The “My Youth My Pride” District Udhampur Ball Badminton Championship 2025-26 concluded at Shemmount International School, here today. Organised by the District Udhampur Ball Badminton Association in collaboration with J&K Ball Badminton Association under the initiative of the J&K Sports Council, the two-day tournament witnessed overwhelming participation of 130 players from 13 teams representing various schools, colleges, institutions and clubs across the district.
The awards distribution ceremony marked the conclusion of the championship. Imran Sheikh, Political Leader of J&K, served as the chief guest, while the Chairman and Principal of Shemmount International School and Dr Philip were special guests. Adil Ahmad, Organizing Secretary, along with other members of the J&K Ball Badminton Association, acted as guests of honour and distributed medals to the winners and runners-up teams. Imran Sheikh encouraged young players to focus on their game and strive to bring laurels for J&K. The participants and organisers expressed gratitude to the District Udhampur Ball Badminton Association for providing budding athletes a platform to showcase their talent and promote sports culture in the district.
