JAMMU, Dec 27: The co-curricular committee of MIER College of Education organized its annual college fest, “MIER Fiesta 2.0,” on its campus, transforming the institution into a vibrant hub of creativity, music, dance and youthful enthusiasm.
The fest was formally inaugurated by Dr Renu Gupta, Chairperson, MIER Group, who encouraged students to embrace creativity and celebrate their individuality.
The programme commenced with a series of captivating student performances, including semi-classical duo dances, energetic group dances, solo singing, musical instrument presentations, rap performances, and vibrant cultural dances such as Santali folk dance.
The highlight of the fest was the live musical concert by SK Ricky and his fusion band, Agnikosh, which enthralled the audience with soulful melodies and high-energy performances. This was followed by an exuberant DJ and dance session.
Adding to the festive spirit, various stalls, including nail art, caricature making, mehndi designs, designer candles, organic soaps, and numerous food and game stalls, were arranged, many of which were set up by students.
Prof Adit Gupta, Director and Principal, MIER College of Education, noted that MIER Fiesta 2.0 was a vibrant celebration of talent, teamwork, and campus life, reaffirming MIER College’s commitment to holistic development through academic excellence and co-curricular engagement.
