Cambridge Int’l School holds Annual Sports Day

JAMMU, Dec 24: Cambridge International School (CIS), Jammu, celebrated its Annual Sports Day with great enthusiasm under the theme “Vijayaa Ghosham.” The event was inaugurated by chief guest Gurdev Kumar, Joint Director, School Education Department, Jammu. The ceremony began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, Ganesh Vandana, torch lighting and oath-taking, symbolizing sportsmanship and integrity.
Vidhi S. Singh, Chairman, CIS, graced the occasion as guest of honour, while Renu Bangroo, Managing Director, CIS, attended as special guest. Students showcased discipline and teamwork through an impressive march past, track events, relays and a teachers’ race. The programme also featured engaging demonstrations of taekwondo, yoga and rope skipping.
Addressing the gathering, the chief guest lauded the school’s focus on holistic education and highlighted the importance of sports in character building. The event concluded with a felicitation ceremony and vote of thanks. The programme was organized under the guidance of Principal Pooja Chib and Vice-Principal Rajni Malhotra.
