POONCH, Dec 22: The Taekwondo Association of District Poonch is set to organise the District Poonch Taekwondo Championships 2025-26 under the aegis of the J&K Taekwondo Association and J&K Sports Council. The two-day championship will be held from December 23 to 24, 2025, at the Indoor Hall, Sports Stadium, Poonch, under the banner of the “My Youth My Pride” initiative.
The event will feature competitions in Sub-Junior, Cadet, Junior and Senior categories, offering a competitive platform to young athletes of the district to showcase their skills, discipline and sportsmanship. For participation, a JKTA athlete license is mandatory, while senior athletes must possess valid black belt certificates as per TFI norms. Athletes are also required to submit registration forms, Aadhaar cards, JKTA licenses and date of birth certificates. Notably, no entry fee will be charged.
