JAMMU, Dec 12: Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Sarore, celebrated its Annual Day cum-Felicitation Ceremony with remarkable zeal and vibrancy, highlighting the academic and co-curricular achievements of its students.
The event was graced by MLA Bishnah Dr. Rajeev Kumar Bhagat as the chief guest, accompanied by CEO Jammu Ajit Sharma, DEPO Bhagwan Dass Sharma, ZEO Bishnah Amarjeet Singh, SHO Bishnah Rakesh Jamwal, and Sarpanch Sarore Vinod Charak. Principal Rabia Batool warmly welcomed the dignitaries, parents and students.
A key feature of the celebration was the felicitation of meritorious students. Dr Bhagat praised the exceptional performance of Class 10th and 12th achievers, particularly Vanshika Saini, who scored 97.2% in the Science stream and secured the 9th position at the UT level. Areeshma, with 91% in Class 10th, was also honoured.
Commending the school for securing a 100% Class 10th result and raising enrollment from 121 to 185, Dr. Bhagat lauded the faculty’s dedication. Students excelling in sports at National and UT levels in Taekwondo, Hockey and Volleyball were also recognized. A colourful cultural programme added to the festivities, while the Well-Being House proudly lifted the maiden Rolling Trophy for Inter-House Activities.
