SAMBA, Dec 8: Legends League Cricket Season 3 concluded today in Vijaypur with a spectacular final as Legal Stars XI, led by Captain Zeeshan Rana, emerged victorious to claim the championship title.
The event was graced by former cricketer & sports administrator Ranjeet Kalra as chief guest, along with Sandeep Singh Wazir (Additional Spokesperson, JKNC) and youth leaders Zaffer Iqbal, Rajeshwar Singh and Hameed Choudhary, whose presence inspired the players.
Batting first, Legal Stars XI set a challenging total of 244 runs, thanks to Aftab’s brilliant 96, Akharshit’s 38 and Zeeshan Rana’s 29. While defending the target, Zeeshan Rana took 3 key wickets, supported by Ajay Rajput’s 2 wickets. In reply, Batutti Lehman managed 116/9, falling short by 128 runs.
For his outstanding batting, Aftab was awarded Man of the Match, while Zeeshan Rana earned the Man of the Series for his consistent all-round performance. Chief guest Ranjeet Kalra appreciated the tournament’s role in promoting fitness, discipline and teamwork among youth. Zeeshan Rana thanked the dignitaries, players, volunteers and supporters for making Season 3 a grand success.
