RAJOURI, Dec 6: Rajouri Police is set to organize a marathon tomorrow to promote the messages “Run for Unity” and “Run against Drugs.” The event was announced by SSP Rajouri Gaurav Sikarwar, who said the marathon will commence at 6:00 am with three categories: 5 km, 10 km and 21 km.
Around 1,500 participants from Rajouri and neighbouring areas are expected to take part. The marathon route will start from DPL, passing through Panja Chowk, Jawahar Nagar, Khandli, Badhoon, Dangri Khalsa Chowk, before returning to the starting point.
The SSP emphasized that event aims to foster unity, love and brotherhood, while encouraging youth to stay away from drug addiction. Medical staff will be deployed along the route to ensure participants’ safety. Registrations have also been received from people outside Rajouri, reflecting widespread enthusiasm for this socially significant initiative.
