SAMBA, Nov 30: Kehli Mandi Football Club defeated Param Football Club Hiranagar by 2-1 to lift the Thalora Premier League trophy in an exciting final held today. In the first half, Vasu scored for Kehli Mandi, giving his team an early lead. Param FC’s Varun equalized in the second half, taking the match into extra time. During the five minutes of added time, Gagandeep Sambyal netted the winning goal, securing victory for Kehli Mandi.
The final was witnessed by Congress District President Sanjeev Sharma, who honoured the winners and runners-up. Shivam of Hiranagar was named Best Goalkeeper, while Nikhil Sambyal of Kehli Mandi received the trophy for most goals scored in the tournament. Coaches Aman Sambyal, Anant Sambyal, Keshav Singh, Subhash Singh, Vijay Singh, Jangveer Singh and Shivcharan Singh were present, encouraging the youth and praising the efforts to promote football in the region.
