JAMMU, Nov 27: Angel Kotwal, Deputy Director of Youth Services and Sports (Central), inaugurated the State Games 2025 for specially-abled youth at Youth Hostel Nagrota, here today. The three-day event, organised by Special Olympics Bharat-Jammu Kashmir (Sahyog India/Swami Ji Outdoors) in collaboration with the Department of Youth Services and Sports and J&K Police, features Athletics, Football, Cricket, and other minor games across venues including Youth Hostel Nagrota and Khel Gaon Nagrota.
Joining Kotwal were Vinod Kumar, SDPO Nagrota, Altaf Hussain Bhat, In-charge Warden, Youth Hostel Nagrota and CVO, Directorate of YS&S, along with Special Olympics representatives.
In her address, Angel appreciated the extraordinary skills of differently-abled athletes, urging collective efforts to nurture their talent and promote inclusivity in sports. Earlier, Dr. Ashwini Jojra, Founding President and Area Director, Special Olympics Bharat JK-UT, highlighted the organization’s achievements. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Raj Dev, Sports Director, Special Olympics Bharat.
