UDHAMPUR, Nov 24: Udhampur Police felicitated 29 girls from Moungri and Pancheri for their outstanding performance at the National Karate Championship held in Rishikesh, Uttarakhand. The team secured an impressive medal haul, winning 8 Gold, 10 Silver and 11 Bronze medals at both individual and team levels.
Amod Ashok Nagpure, I/C DIG U-R Range, honoured the medal-winning athletes and lauded their dedication, assuring continued support for their future endeavors. Additional SP Udhampur and DySP Headquarters were also present during the felicitation ceremony.
Despite hailing from remote, hilly areas, the girls trained rigorously under challenging conditions for months. The team was guided by Head Coach Ravinder Jamwal, Coach Priyanka Jamwal and Team Manager Kailash Dutt. The championship was organized by the International Shito-Karate Organisation of India.
