ASMITA Women’s League 2025 organised

JAMMU, Nov 16: The Jammu District ASMITA Women’s Athletics League-2025, organized by J&K Amateur Athletics Association, concluded at Jammu University Synthetic Athletics Track today, showcasing the talent of young female athletes in Under-14 and Under-16 categories. Around 130 girls from the district participated in events including 60m sprints, long jump, high jump, discus throw, shot put, javelin and triathlon competitions.
The ASMITA Women’s League aims to empower women in sports by promoting participation, identifying emerging talent, and providing competitive exposure. Results highlights included: In Under-14 Long Jump, Mahi Manhas claimed first place, followed by Aditi Sharma and Nitya Gupta. In Under-16 Long Jump, Upasana Manhas topped the podium, with Bisma Hamdani second and Palak Choudhary third.
Palak Choudhary also dominated Under-16 Shot Put and Discus Throw, while Jeevika, Vidushi Sharma, and Maher excelled in Under-14 Shot Put. In sprint events, Nitya Gupta won the Under-14 60m, and Upasana Manhas clinched the Under-16 60m. In the 600m Under-16, Bisma Hamdani finished first, followed by Deepakshi Sharma and Manakdeep Kour.
