SRINAGAR, Nov 11: The J&K UT Thang-Ta Championship concluded at Multipurpose Indoor Sports Hall, Polo Ground. here today. Teams from different districts of Jammu & Kashmir participated, displaying remarkable skill, discipline, and sportsmanship.
The closing ceremony was graced by Aijaz Hussain, Member of the Haj Committee of India and DDC Khonmoh Srinagar, who appreciated the efforts of the J&K Sports Council in promoting sports across the Union Territory.
Organised by the J&K Thang-Ta Association in collaboration with the J&K Sports Council, the championship highlighted traditional martial arts and provided a competitive platform for young athletes. Selected players in junior weight categories will represent J&K at the 31st Junior National Thang-Ta Championship in Guwahati, Assam, from December 22-25, 2025.
