SAMBA, Nov 4: The District Samba Taekwondo Championships 2025-26 culminated today at Indoor Stadium, here today, organized by the Taekwondo Association of District Samba under the J&K Taekwondo Association and J&K Sports Council. Around 300 players from schools and clubs participated, showcasing skill and sportsmanship. Medallists will represent District Samba in the 28th J&K UT Taekwondo Championship 2025-26.
The closing ceremony was graced by Niharika Koushal (Assistant Director, Handloom) as chief guest, with Dwarka Nath Sharma (Senior Advocate) and Lovely Sambhyal (Sarpanch, Samba) as guests of honour. Special guests included Akhil Bhagat, Paramvir Singh, Rataul Tagar and Mandeep Singh.
The event was organized under Rajesh Pangotra (President), Dr. Kanav Mahajan (Secretary) and Pankaj Kumar Mehra (Organising Secretary). Officiating team members included Amresh Kumar, Jagpreet Kour, Prabjot Singh, Bhanu Singh Charak, Sushant Singh Rajput, Vansh Rakhwal and Achutam Dev Singh. The chief guest distributed medals and trophies to winners.
