UDHAMPUR, Oct 31: The Department of Youth Services & Sports (DYSS), Udhampur organized the 29th District Level National Youth Festival with great enthusiasm and participation. Over 205 participants from various zones of the district showcased their talent, creativity and cultural spirit in multiple competitions.
Prem Singh, Additional Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, graced the occasion as chief guest and was welcomed by Romesh Chander Mishra, DYSSO Udhampur and Vijay Sharma, ZPEO Udhampur. In his address, the ADC appreciated the department’s efforts and urged youth to become job creators, work sincerely, and contribute to the ‘Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan’ through awareness and motivation.
Competitions were held in Declamation, Painting, Group Folk Dance, Group Folk Music, Poetry, Story Writing, and Science Exhibition. Winners included Zone Kulwanta (Folk Song), Zone Jib (Group Dance), and Akshita Sharma (Science Exhibition) among others.
