DODA, Oct 28: Under the directions of Senior Superintendent of Police Doda, Sandeep Mehta, Doda Police organised a Volleyball Tournament under the Civic Action Programme (CAP) at Bulandpur in the jurisdiction of Police Station Assar. Seven teams participated, showcasing skill, sportsmanship and team spirit.
The final match saw the Bulandpur Team face the Baari Team, with Bulandpur emerging victorious after a thrilling contest. The tournament aimed to engage local youth, strengthen community bonds and foster cooperation between the police and the public. Sandeep Mehta highlighted the importance of sports in developing teamwork, responsibility, and discipline among young participants.
The event attracted a large crowd of enthusiastic spectators who cheered for their teams. Both finalists were commended for their competitiveness and fair play. Doda Police expressed its commitment to continue such initiatives under CAP, promoting youth empowerment, healthy lifestyles, and stronger community relations through sports.
