UDHAMPUR, Oct 25: The 6 J&K Battalion NCC celebrated its First Raising Day, marking its successful establishment as a fully functional and vibrant NCC unit. The occasion reflected the dedication, discipline and zeal of cadets and staff who contributed to the battalion’s remarkable growth over the past year.
Since its inception, the battalion has achieved several milestones, including the creation of the Zorawar NCC Training Academy, a hub for grooming cadets in leadership, physical fitness and national service.
The cadets actively participated in Operation Sindoor and recent flood relief operations, demonstrating courage, compassion and commitment to community service. The battalion also recorded maximum participation in the Thal Sainik Camp and won the Inter-Battalion Drill Competition, earning accolades for outstanding performance.
The event was graced by Major General Anupinder Bevli, Additional Director General, NCC Jammu, Kashmir & Ladakh Directorate, who commended the cadets for their enthusiasm and nation-building efforts. Brigadier D.N. Pandey, Group Commander, NCC Group Headquarters Jammu, appreciated the unit’s rapid growth and achievements.
