SAMBA, Sept 21: Youth Raipur Camp organized a three-day Volleyball Tournament from September 19 to 21, paying tribute to the legendary Sher-e-Punjab Maharaja Ranjit Singh. The event drew enthusiastic participation from local youth, who showcased commendable talent, passion, and sportsmanship throughout the tournament.
The closing ceremony was graced by Dr. Devinder Kumar Manyal, MLA Ramgarh and Former Minister for Health and Medical Education, J&K, as the chief guest. Dr. Manyal praised the organizers for fostering youth engagement through sports and highlighted the importance of such events in promoting physical fitness, teamwork and leadership among the younger generation.
Several prominent community figures also attended the event, including Narinder Singh (Mandal President Bainglar), Gurmail Singh (Vice President DGPC Samba), Sajid Jaral (Incharge Rakh Ambtalli), Former Sarpanch Reena Choudhary, Balkari Singh, Madan Choudhary and Akshay Choudhary. Their presence reflected strong community support for youth initiatives.
The tournament concluded with the felicitation of the winning teams and appreciation of all participants, reinforcing the spirit of healthy competition and community bonding.
