JAMMU, Sept 15: Army Public School (APS) Ratnuchak organised a solemn ceremony to formally install the newly elected Students’ Council for the academic session 2025–26.
The event commenced with the ceremonial hoisting of the school flag by Principal Sonal Sharma, followed by an invocation and welcoming remarks. The highlight of the programme was the grand procession of the council members, reflecting their discipline and readiness to shoulder responsibilities.
During the ceremony, the newly elected office bearers were conferred with badges and sashes. Aryan Sharma and Aditi Sharma were officially installed as Head Boy and Head Girl, respectively. Other office bearers included Vice Heads, Sports Captains and Prefects, who were also honoured in the presence of students and faculty.
The oath of office was then administered to the council members, where they pledged to uphold the core values of responsibility, integrity and ethical governance in all their actions.
Principal Sonal Sharma addressed the gathering with a motivating keynote, emphasizing that true leadership stems not from authority, but from a spirit of service, commitment and care for fellow students. The programme concluded on a patriotic note with the singing of the National Anthem, inspiring all present to strive for excellence and service.
