SRINAGAR, Sept 6: The two-day District Srinagar Rugby 7’s Championship 2025 concluded with great enthusiasm at the Synthetic Rugby Field, Polo Ground, here today. Organised by the Srinagar Rugby Association in collaboration with the J&K Rugby Association and sponsored by the J&K Sports Council, the tournament saw the participation of 16 teams across various categories, highlighting the growing enthusiasm for rugby in the region.
In the senior women’s category, Srinagar Pink emerged as champions, clinching the gold medal, while Srinagar Oranges secured the silver and Srinagar Panthers took home the bronze. In the senior men’s category, Srinagar Lions dominated the field to win the gold, followed by Srinagar Blue with the silver, and Srinagar Greens with the bronze medal. The closing ceremony was graced by Irfan Aziz as the chief guest, who distributed medals and trophies among the winners.
