JAMMU, July 24: The inclement weather conditions and the flood in the cricket ground at Marh have forced the organizers of 1st Marh Premier League T20 Cricket Tournament for a fortnight.
The Tournament, in which over 50 teams from Marh Constituency are taking part was scheduled to be held from August 3, 2014, which now will be organized from third week of August, 2014.
The decision in this regard was taken in a meeting of the organizers held under the chairmanship of Ankush Abrol, president of the organizing committee. “The heavy rainfall and flood has deteriorated the condition of the playfield at Marh and after a through inspection it has been observed that atleast 2 weeks are needed to make the ground playable. So we have decided to postpone the Tournament by two weeks,” informed Mr Abrol.
