BARAMULLA, July 23: The Chinar Premier League (CPL) 2025 treated cricket fans to an exhilarating day of action with three high-intensity matches played across Gen Bipin Rawat Singh Stadium and Showkat Ali Stadium.
At Showkat Ali Stadium, Star XI Baramulla registered a comprehensive 87-run victory over Salamabad Stars. Batting first, Star XI posted a challenging total of 210/7, thanks to a solid all-round effort. In reply, Salamabad Stars struggled against disciplined bowling and were restricted to 123/9. Mudasir Mohammad delivered a match-winning performance, scoring 39 runs and claiming 4 wickets, earning the Man of the Match award.
Meanwhile, at Gen Bipin Rawat Singh Stadium, JCC Reds Bandipora cruised to an 8-wicket win over Gymkhana Baramulla, who were bundled out for 120 runs. Zahid Ali was the star performer, taking a brilliant 5-wicket haul, and was named Man of the Match.
In another nail-biter at the same venue, Elegant Star Pulwama edged past Friends XI Wanigam by just 1 wicket while chasing a modest target of 105 runs. Tarik Ahmad Malik played a crucial role, scoring 42 runs and taking 2 wickets, securing the Man of the Match title for his all-round display.
