JAMMU, July 19: The Jammu and Kashmir Swimming Association today conducted selection trials at K.C Sports Club Complex, Jammu, to select swimmers for the 51st Junior National Aquatic Championships 2025, scheduled from August 3 to 7 at Naranpura Sports Complex, Ahmedabad, Gujarat and the 41st Sub-Junior National Aquatic Championships 2025, to be held from August 4 to 5 at Basavanagudi Aquatic Centre, Bengaluru, Karnataka. Both championships are being conducted under the auspices of the Swimming Federation of India.
In the Junior (15-17 years) boys’ category, the selected swimmers are Vihan Goel, Sohun Pathania, Saksham and Pryansh Singh, with Riaan, Shiv Dev and Qaaid as standbys. The selected girls in the same age group are Aditi Aditya Bargotra and Tegmeet Kour.
In the Junior (13-14 years) boys’ group, Mussa P. Mallik, Aryan Parbhakar, Vivaan Yadav and Advait Sharma were selected, with Pargnay Sharma as standby. Girls selected include Mayra Thakur, Manha Mallik, Anahita Gupta and Hitanshi Yadav, with Piyushi and Hargun Kour as standbys.
For the Sub-Junior (11-12 years) category, the boys’ team includes Daayvik Gupta, Pratyaksh Vir Parmar, Riyan Gupta and Samar Partap. The selected girls are Saisha Gupta, Hargun Kour, Jeena Kour Sudan and Sharanya Jandial, with Aryana Bakshi as standby.
The trials were supervised by President Ramandeep Singh Soodan and General Secretary Bharat Kumar Sharma, ensuring transparency and fairness throughout the selection process.
