JAMMU, July 14: Jodhamal Public School hosted a CBSE Capacity Building Workshop on ‘Promoting Mental Health and Wellness among Students’ for its faculty, reaffirming its focus on emotional well-being alongside academics.
The workshop was conducted by CBSE Resource Persons Dr. Renu Gupta and Lokesh Kumar. It aimed to equip teachers with strategies to identify signs of stress and create supportive classroom environments. Topics included building empathy, fostering trust, and encouraging open dialogue around mental health.
Teachers engaged in group activities, reflective discussions and real-life scenarios to understand student needs and integrate wellness practices into daily routines.
Principal Dr. Deep Khare emphasized the need to be emotionally sensitive educators, while Vice Principal Amita Arora encouraged proactive support for mental wellness across the school.
