Heena retires from all forms of Cricket

JAMMU, June 28: Jammu and Kashmir’s medium-fast bowler Heena Kouser, hailing from Belicharana, Doda Basti, has officially announced her retirement from all forms of cricket under the Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA).
In a letter addressed to Brigadier Anil Gupta, Member Administration JKCA, Heena expressed gratitude for the opportunity to represent JKCA, calling it an honour and a privilege.
Having represented JKCA’s Senior Women’s team in four matches (3 T20s and one One-Dayer), Heena also captained the U-19 Women’s One-Day team and participated in numerous U-23 and U-19 matches, including the U-19 Zonal Cricket Academy Camp.
She notably claimed 13 wickets in the 2019-20 BCCI U-23 Women’s One-Day Trophy and was known for generating pace and bounce on all types of tracks. Though stepping away from active play, Heena has expressed her willingness to contribute to the sport’s development in the future.
