Dogra Degree College begins FDP on Digital Governance, NAAC Benchmarking

SAMBA, June 16: Dogra Degree College, under the guidance of its Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), inaugurated a five-day Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on “Digital Governance and NAAC Quality Benchmarking” at the college campus today.
The event began with the ceremonial lamp lighting and a welcome address by Aditi Khajuria, IQAC Convenor. Lovetesh Kumar, Senior Manager (State Head), ICT Academy, delivered the keynote address, highlighting the role of digital governance in enhancing academic efficiency and bridging the digital divide. Dr. Shefali Sharma, a renowned IQAC expert, elaborated on the importance of internal quality enhancement and NAAC preparedness in higher education institutions.
Principal Dr. Bela Thakur emphasized the need for digital literacy and ERP integration in academic operations. Rakesh Mohan Koul, HoD-BBA & B.Com, and Co-Convenor IQAC, discussed bridging AQAR documentation gaps, while Balwant Singh, HoD-Arts and Humanities, shared practical ERP applications. The FDP will continue till June 20, focusing on ERP modules, AQAR criteria, research, and innovation.
