JAMMU, May 24: SD Tara Puri Public High School held a grand ceremony to mark the formation of the Student Council for the 2025-26 Session. The event was graced by Maj. Gen (Retd.) SK Sharma as the chief guest. The Management Committee members present included Deputy Commissioner (Retd.) BM Sharma (President), ZEO (Retd.) ND Sharma (Secretary), Accounts Officer (Retd.) VM Sharma (Member), and Ravi Mangotra (Member).
The programme began with a lamp lighting ceremony, followed by a prayer, school song, and group song. The elected student council members were conferred badges and sashes by the chief guest, principal, vice principal, and the management committee dignitaries.
Maj. Gen (Retd.) S.K. Sharma delivered an inspiring speech, motivating students to take up leadership roles with responsibility and dedication. The event highlighted the school’s focus on fostering leadership qualities among students.
