Trikuta Trail Blazer 200-km ride pays tribute to Pahalgam attack victims

JAMMU, Apr 29: The Trikuta Trail Blazer cycling series, organized by the Jammu Hills Sports Foundation in collaboration with One Level Up Sports, culminated, with its 200 km Ultimate Triumph ride. This ride was not only a significant endurance test but also a solemn tribute to the 26 lives lost in the tragic terrorist attack in Pahalgam. Before the ride, participants observed a two-minute silence in remembrance of the victims, honouring their memory through unity and resilience.
The Trikuta Trail Blazer series began on February 9, 2025, with a 50 km ride and followed with increasingly challenging rides of 100 km, 150 km, and ultimately 200 km, each designed to push the limits of participants. This initiative aimed to promote a cycling culture in Jammu and encourage fitness among people of all ages. Riders were able to take on these challenges in stages, culminating in the 200 km event through the rugged, scenic terrain of the Trikuta Hills.
A total of 62 riders participated in the 2025 season, and 18 cyclists successfully earned the title of Trikuta Trail Blazer for completing all four rides. In the 200 km event, Mayank Saini (Male, Road) finished in 7:09, with Barnali Mahela (Female, Road) also completing the ride in 7:09. Rajan Jain (Male, Road) finished in 9:50, while Gungeet Kaur (Female, Hybrid) also completed it in 9:50.
Additional noteworthy participants included Nikhil Jain (Male, Hybrid) at 9:52, Satpal Gorka (Male, Hybrid) at 11:44, and Ravinder Sharma (Male, Hybrid) at 11:46. Rameshwar Singh (Male, MTB) finished at 11:50, Arun (Male, MTB) at 11:51 and Sandeep Abrol (Male, Hybrid) at 11:58. Praveen Raina (Male, MTB) also completed it at 11:58. Santosh Kumar Sinha (Male, Road) finished at 11:58, and Sukhpal Singh (Male, MTB) completed it in 12:20. Other finishers included Avishek Mehra (Male, MTB) at 12:25, Dr. Ritu Ahal (Female, Hybrid) and Rajesh Ahal (Male, Hybrid) at 12:48. The final two finishers were Tinkuanzia (Male, MTB) at 13:45 and Kana Prajapati (Male, MTB) at 13:55.
