RAJOURI, Apr 15: The Indian Army, in collaboration with the Sunderbani Cricket Association concluded the Sunderbani Premier League (SPL), held from March 16 to April 14. The month-long cricket tournament featured 14 teams from across the Sunderbani region, showcasing the energy, talent and sportsmanship of local youth.
In a thrilling final match, Blasters emerged victorious over Knight Riders, clinching the championship title. The winning team was awarded a cash prize of Rs 1,00,000 along with the prestigious winner’s trophy, while the runners-up received Rs 50,000. The Indian Army felicitated both teams and applauded their outstanding performances.
The Indian Army emphasized the role of sports in building character, discipline and unity among the younger generation. The tournament provided a much-needed platform for budding cricketers to shine and connect with the wider community.
