GOOL, June 17: To encourage the cricket talent and develop healthy competitive spirit amongst the youth, Rashtriya Rifles Battalion, based at Gool, under Uniform Force organised Gool Premier League for the youth of the area.
16 teams participated in the Tournament.
The Tournament commenced on May 26, 2014, generated a festive mood and attracted young and old alike in large numbers. The players were seen decked up in colourful dress resembling IPL format and the competitive passion was very much evident from the on field energy.
The final match was played between Friends Cricket Club and Vadiyan Club, today.
Both the teams participated with full enthusiasm and vigour to win the tournament.
In the end, Friends Cricket Club won the final match in a nail biting contest.
The winners and the runners-up teams were given cash prizes and cricket kits.
