Kupwara Police inaugurates T20 Cricket Tourney

KUPWARA, Apr 3: In an effort to promote sportsmanship, youth engagement, and community development, Kupwara Police inaugurated the T20 Knockout Cricket Tournament under the Civic Action Programme at the Kupwara Cricket Stadium, Galizoo. The tournament features sixteen teams from across the district, providing a competitive platform for young cricketers to display their talents.
The inaugural event was attended by SSP Kupwara, Ghulam Jeelani Wani, DySP DAR Kupwara, Gulzar Rashid, Inspector Reyaz and other senior police officials. A large number of enthusiastic spectators were present, underscoring the important role of sports in fostering community bonding and promoting positive youth engagement.
This tournament is part of Kupwara Police’s ongoing efforts to bridge the gap between law enforcement and the local community while offering youth an opportunity to engage in healthy competition and develop positive relationships.
