DPS students excel at Eco Innovators Ideathon 2025

JAMMU, Jan 27: Students of Delhi Public School (DPS) Jammu, Manya Targotra and Rudraksh Bargotra, made the school proud with their remarkable achievement at the Eco Innovators Ideathon 2025, held at Stein Auditorium, India Habitat Centre, New Delhi.
Representing Class 11-A, the duo reached the Grand Finale, securing a spot among the Top 10 finalists out of over 600 entries from schools across India.
Their innovative project, Carbifiers, which focuses on converting industrial smoke into usable methane, was praised for its potential to address both pollution and energy shortages. The project’s journey began with a simple two-slide presentation, followed by master classes that refined their idea and presentation skills, leading them to the competitive finals.
At the Grand Finale, Manya and Rudraksh impressed the esteemed jury, including experts from IIT Madras, TERI School of Advanced Studies, and SureStart. Their solution was evaluated on innovation, feasibility, impact, and use of technology. The students received Certificates of Achievement and a cash prize of Rs 5,000 each for their outstanding performance.
Accompanied by their teacher, Insha Ahmad, the students traveled to New Delhi for the event, which provided them with valuable learning experiences in environmental sustainability and innovation.
