JAMMU, Jan 27: In a series of events, two major exhibitions, the Travelling Painting Exhibition and the Children’s Painting Exhibition, were inaugurated at the KVS Regional Office Jammu. The event, which also featured a cultural program showcasing the artistic talents of students, was attended by several distinguished guests, including chief guest Anand Jain, ADG, Jammu Zone; Kulwant Jasrotia, SSP; Brigadier Vivek Puri, Commander of 19 Infantry Brigade; Haneef Khan, Chief Sports Officer, J&K Council, Jammu, and many other dignitaries from various departments.
The event was organized under the guidance of Nagendra Goel, Deputy Commissioner; Islam Khan, Assistant Commissioner; Anil Kumar Yadav, Assistant Commissioner and Hari Singh, Assistant Commissioner. It was hosted in collaboration with various KVS Principals and mentors of the Jammu Region at the premises of PM SHRI K.V. No. 1 Jammu.
Nagendra Goel, Deputy Commissioner of KVS Regional Office Jammu, delivered the welcome address, highlighting the purpose of the exhibition. He shared that the exhibition, starting on January 26, 2025, from PM SHRI K.V. No. 1 Gandhi Nagar Jammu, would tour all Kendriya Vidyalayas in Jammu & Kashmir, including the KVs in Leh-Ladakh, and conclude at PM SHRI K.V. No. 1 Srinagar on August 15, 2025.
Anand Jain addressed the gathering, offering blessings and best wishes for the success of the program. He emphasized the importance of constitutional values such as equality, fraternity, liberty, and the enforcement of constitutional rights and duties. He praised the event’s arrangements and the presentations by the students.
Hari Singh, Assistant Commissioner of KVS Regional Office Jammu, concluded the ceremony by delivering the vote of thanks, thanking all the guests, invitees, KVS Headquarters in New Delhi, and the students and participants.
