JKP wrestler Benia lifts 32nd Katra Kundrorian Kesari title

KATRA, Apr 28: Wrestler Benia Min of Jammu and Kashmir Police (JKP) of Basantgarh, Udhampur defeated wrestler Amit of Rohtak in Harayana and lifted annual 32nd Katra Kundrorian Kesari 2014 title at Hanuman Akhara Katra, here today.
The event was organized by Kundrorian Katra Dangal Committee under the aegis of J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association under the overall supervision of president J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association, Shiv Kumar Sharma, Balwant Singh, president Dangal Committee; Naresh Kumar (Pappu Lakri) and Karnail Singh (Mintu).
BSP State General Secretary and Senior Vice President Hotel & Resturant Association Katra, Rakesh Wazir was the chief guest on the occasion who gave away cash prizes to the winners and runner-up wrestlers, while Mr Sharma presided over the function.
58 bouts were played in the event which were witnessed by a large number of people.
A cash prize of Rs 12,000 along with ‘Mata Ki Chunni’ was awarded to the winner Benia, while runner-up wrestler got Rs 9,000.
