JAMMU, Oct 13: Rajesh Mukhi, a seasoned mountaineer from the Mountaineering Association of J&K, has set off for Nepal to join a multinational team for a prestigious pre-Everest expedition to Ama Dablam peak (6826m). Organized by M/s Pioneer Adventure Ltd, Nepal, the expedition will provide all logistical and technical support for the climb.
This venture is part of the association’s larger goal to prepare its mountaineers for major expeditions, culminating in a summit of Mount Everest in 2025. Rajesh Mukhi, with experience scaling Antarctica’s Winson Peak and other notable summits, will represent J&K in this challenging expedition.
Zorawar Singh Jamwal, president of the association, and Shawetica Khajuria, general secretary, along with other members, extended their best wishes to Mukhi for a successful ascent.
