JAMMU, Oct 13: The Jammu and Kashmir Differently Abled Cricket Association has officially launched its team for the upcoming National Championship, flagged off by Rajesh Gill, a former Ranji player and Honorary President of the association. The tournament will take place in Udaipur, Rajasthan, from October 15 to 25, featuring 24 teams from various States, including Jammu & Kashmir, Rajasthan and Mumbai.
Rajesh Gill was joined by Avinash Uttam, Honorary Senior Vice President, and Ashish Singh, Managing Director of Horizon Group of Companies, during the ceremony. The J&K team boasts a strong lineup, led by Captain Wasim Iqbal and Vice-Captain Nikhil Manhas, alongside players Amir Hassan, Jaffar Amin Bhat, and Javid Malik, among others.
The association aims to build on the team’s previous successes, having won the 2nd and 3rd editions of the National Tournament in 2022 and 2023.
