JAMMU, Feb 23: Jammu Division Under-19 Open Chess Tournament concluded at Hotel Nek, here today. Arushi Kotwal won the first prize and a cash prize of Rs 5000, while Ritish Pathania won second position and a cash prize of Rs 2500 and Meenal Gupta won third prize and a cash prize of Rs 1000. The 4th position went to Soham Kamotra, which carried a cash prize of Rs 1000, while Chetanya Sharma got 5th position and a cash prize of Rs.500. The Tournament was organized by Jammu District Chess Association under the patronage of All J&K Chess Association. Baldev Raj, vice president All J&K Chess Association alongwith Taranvir Singh Gujral, coordinator AJKCA distributed the prizes among the winners. Atul Kumar Gupta, president All J&K Chess Association was also present on the occassion. Ankush Kumar was the organizing secretary of the event. Sumit Grover and Ajit Singh were arbiters of this event. Top two from this event and top two from Kashmir Division will represent J&K State in National Under-19 Chess champioship 2014.
