U-14 boys cricket tournament concludes

JAMMU, Mar 21: The Under-14 boys cricket tournament organized by KPT Pipes at Jammu’s MA Stadium concluded today with Green Filed Star Team-2 winning the 4-day long tournament by defeating the Green Field Star Team-1 by a convincing margin of over 80 runs.
Luxami Cricket Club also a part of the Under-14 boys tournament, while KPT Piping Solutions Pvt Ltd Dehradun sponsored the tournament and was well supported by the J&K Sports Council. The Council provided all the required facilities and help to the budding cricketers in every possible way in giving exposure to the budding cricketers.
Former Captain of J&K Cricket team, Dhruv Mahajan was also the special invitee on the occasion as an expert of the game.
While speaking on the occasion, Dhruv Mahajan encouraged the budding cricketers of both the teams for their efforts beyond their age and said, “Work on your fitness as it is the key to succeed and go forward in cricket”.
Harshit Sharma, Viraj, Rubik and Debashish were adjudged as man of the match for all the matches, while Manik and Veer Mahajan were adjudged as the emerging players by the Committee. Mayank Sharma was adjudged as the best fielder of the tournament, while Eklavay and Tejas were adjudged as the best bowlers of the tournament.
