JAMMU, Jan 18: Domana Cricket Club (DCC) crushed Bhupinder Cricket Club (BCC) by a huge margin of 54 runs and registered berth in the semifinals of the ongoing BJYM’s ‘Khelega Yuva Jeetega Bharat’ Cricket Tournament at Parade ground, here today.
Electing to bat first after winning the toss, Domana Cricket Club (DCC) scored 126 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in stipulated 20 overs. Vishu was the top scorer with 39 runs.
For Bhupinder Cricket Club (BCC) side Narotam was the wrecker-in-chief who took three wickets.
In the second inning, Bhupinder Cricket Club (BCC) failed to chase the target and bundled out at paltry 72 runs for all out in 15 overs.
Vishal Singh with his commendable bowling skills scalped 5 wickets in his 4 over spell by giving just 18 runs.

On the occasion, SSP PCR Jammu, JS Johar was the chief guest, who distributed mementos among the winners in presence of State general secretary BJYM and Programme Incharge Ajay Pargal, State vice president Ashish Sareen, district president Jammu Ishant Gupta, district president Jammu Rural Vikas Choudhary, district president Akhnoor Bupinder Singh, district vice president Jammu Ankush Khajuria and district vice president Jammu West Chetan Mehra.
Ajay Pargal said that organizing such tournaments gives opportunities to young and budding players to display their talent and it also helps them in improving their ability to play the sport.
