Stadium XI Kathua, KCC Jammu log wins

JAMMU, Jan 4: Stadium XI Kathua and KCC Jammu registered convincing victories over their rivals to advance in the ongoing 4th Police Martyrs’ Memorial North Zone T20 Cricket Tournament at District Sports Stadium, Kathua.
Earlier, in the first match, Stadium XI defeated Jammu Cricket Club by a narrow margin of 11 runs. Winning the toss and batting first, Stadium XI scored a modest total of 127 runs in the allotted 20 overs.
JCC in reply, bundled out for 116 runs, thus lost the match by 11 runs. Ankush and Shiv Dutt of Stadium XI Kathua were declared man of the match and were presented a cash prize of Rs 1500 and trophies.
In another match, KCC Jammu got better of Shabnam Cricket Club by 20 runs. Batting first, KCC scored a decent total of 149 runs.
In reply Shabnam CC Hoshiarpur managed to score 129 runs in the stipulated 20 overs, losing 8 wickets in the process, thus lost the match by 20 runs. Romy of KCC was adjudged man of the match and was presented a cash prize of Rs 1500 alongwith a man of the match trophy.
