JAMMU, Dec 26: JK Bank Academy and Jammu United scripted wins over their rivals in the ongoing Christmas Soccer Championship, being organized by Christian Sports Organisation J&K at GGM Science College Football Ground, here.
Earlier, in the first match between JK Bank Academy and Young Rovers, Academy registered (2-0) win, with first goal pelted by Faisal in 45th minute and second by Parveen Kumar in 75th minute of the match.
In another match, Jammu United drubbed Sainik Colony Football Club by (4-2) via tie-breaker. Both the teams scored one goal each in the stipulated time to take the match to tie-breaker, wherein Rakesh Kumar, Romesh, Kaushal and Saha succeded in scoring goals for Jammu United, while Gagan Harminder scored goals for Sainik Colony Club. Thus, Jammu United registered a win by (4-2) goals.
The matches were officiated by Vijay Kumar, Stephen, Elijah and Rinku Gill.
Vijay Club will take on J&K Bank, while PDC will lock horns with Churchill Brothers in the matches scheduled for tomorrow.
