JAMMU, Dec 5: J&K Bank Football Academy crushed Young Star by straight four goals to zero in the inaugural match of the 4th Sher-e-Kashmir Gold Cup Football Championship, being organised by Youth National Conference under the aegis of J&K Football Association (JKFA) at Government Gandhi Memorial (GGM) Science College Football Ground here today.
In the first half of the match, Arjun of J&K Bank Football Academy netted the first goal of the match in the 11th minute and raised the score card by 1-0 goal.
In the 15th minute, Sahil with his excellent footwork scored the goal and raised the score card to 2-0 goals vis-à-vis pressure on the opponent team.
The players of Young Star tried their level best to restrict J&K Bank Football Academy team players from increasing the scorecard, but their dreams were shattered, when Parveen netted the goal in the 19th minute and further raised the scorecard to 3-0 goals.
In the last minute of the first half (30 minute), Pardeep netted the goal and brought the opponent Young Star team players under extreme pressure of 4-0 goals.
In the second half, players of Young Star started playing mind games by opting one to one strategy. But the enthusiastic J&K Bank Football Academy team players with their exceptional playing talent shattered the dreams of opponent team and won the match by 4-0 goals.

Earlier, Devender Singh Rana, MLC, Provincial President, National Conference inaugurated the championship in presence of Bimla Luthra, MLA, Babu Ram, Ex-Minister, Kashmir Singh, Ex-MLC, Rattan Lal Gupta, Ex-MLC, Zameel Thakur, President, JKFA, SS Bunty, Vice President and sports lovers.
While speaking, Devender Singh Rana said that sports plays pivotal role in the development of the body.
He asked the youth to participate in the sports activities so as keep their body mentally and physically fit.
