KATHUA, May 30: Rousing welcome was given to Babloo Singh Jasrotia, world champion from Kathua district on his arrival at Lakhanpur after winning three Gold Medals in Olympia Amateur Asia Competition held at Thailand.
The Competition was organized by Global Power Lifting Bodybuilding International Organization (GPBI World). Babloo won Gold Medal in Bench Press, Dead Squad and Squad categories after competing players of 16 countries in tough competitions. This is the second time when he won 3 Gold Medals and made India as well Jammu and Kashmir proud.
On his arrival at Lakhanpur, Jasrotia was given warm welcome by his family members, relatives, players and power lifting association of Kathua district. He paid tribute to Maharaja Gulab Singh’s statue at Lakhanpur.
While talking to media, Jasrotia said that it’s a proud moment that he unfurled the flag of India on International level. He has asked the youth to show their commitment and energy towards sports and keep themselves away from the menace of drugs.
