JAMMU, Sept 15: District Reasi will lock horns with District Udhampur in Under-14 boys kho-kho summit clash of the Divisional Level Inter-District Championship in the disciplines of Kho-Kho Boys in all age groups, which got underway at Youth Hostel, Nagrota, here today.
300 participants from 10 districts of Jammu Division are taking part in the Championship, which is being organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports, under the patronage of Navin Aggarwal, Director General, Youth Services and Sports and under the supervision of Deputy Director, Jammu, Ved Parkash.
Earlier, in kho-kho Under-14 boys’ semifinals, District Reasi drubbed District Samba by one turn and 3 points and District Udhampur thrashed District Rajouri by one turn and 2 points.
In pool matches, District Samba outplayed District Ramban by 5 points, while District Rajouri outclassed District Jammu by one turn and 1 point.
Meanwhile, in kho-kho Under-19 boys, District Doda trounced District Poonch by 5 points (12 – 7), District Samba prevailed over District Kathua by one turn and 2 points, Udhampur thrashed Ramban by 1 turn and 6 point, Jammu drubbed Rajouri by 7 points (11-6), Doda trounced Khistwar by 3 points (6 – 3) and Samba beat Reasi by 7 points (10-3).
In kho-kho Under-17 boys, Samba defeated Ramban by one turn and 5 points, Jammu got better of Doda by 5 points (9 – 4) and Reasi thrashed Khistwar by one turn and 8 points.
