Balbir Singh bags 84 kg wrestling gold

JAMMU, Sept 10: Balbir Singh of District Jammu bagged gold in Under-19 boys 84 kg wrestling event in the Divisional Level Inter-District Wrestling Championship, organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports, here.
Sadiq Hussain of Jammu and Nitin Singh of Samba claimed gold in 96 kg and 120 kg weight categories respectively.
74 kg gold went to Shair Choudhary of Jammu, while Resham Singh of Reasi claimed silver and Mohd Shabir of Doda bagged bronze medal.
Aslam Khan of Samba won gold in 66 kg, while silver and bronze in this category went to Jagdev Singh of Reasi and Sajjad Ahmed of Doda respectively.
In 60 kg, Arif Khan of Jammu, Arjun Kumar of Samba and Rahul Kumar of Udhampur claimed gold, silver and bronze respectively.
The competition was held under the overall supervision of Ved Parkash, Deputy Director Youth Services and Sports, Jammu.
