SUNDERBANI, Aug 5: Army distributed sports kits and furniture items to 6 Government schools in a well organized programmme at Auditorium of 28 Infantry Brigade, here today.
The items were distributed by the Deputy Commander, Rajesh Sachdeva in an impressive function. The students of these schools were present on the occasion.
As per of its endeavour to help improving the educational infrastructure of schools in the region, Army has distributed these items in the border area of Sunderbani Tehsil. Realizing that the schools were functioning without adequate furniture, Army undertook this noble project, which will go a long way in improving the educational standards of the children in the area.
The schools included Government Senior Secondary School Baja Bain, Ghaiupnias, Kalyari, Changi Kangrial, Thichka and Tanaki.
The function apart from the students was attended by the teachers, officials, civil administration and promoted members of civil society.
Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Commander of Kalidhar Brigade assured the people that the Army will always be with them in their endeavors to help people live happy life in border areas.
