Clinical HP thrashes J&K by 63 runs

JAMMU, Dec 9: Clinical Himachal Pradesh thrashed unpredictable Jammu and Kashmir by a big margin of 63 runs in the ongoing Vijay Hazare One Day Trophy at Dadiji Konddev Stadium, Thane today.
Put into bat, Himachal Pradesh after a slow start managed to post a good total of 250 runs on the board. AP Vashisht (51), AR Kumar (49) and skipper Rishi Dhawan (44) were the main contributors. NR Gangta (26) and PS Chopra (24) were also involved in valuable contributions. For J&K, Parvez Rasool and Ramdayal took 3 wickets each by conceding 37 and 39 runs respectively.
In reply, J&K bundled out for 187 runs in 42.1 overs to lose the match by 63 runs. Ian Chauhan, Shubham Singh Pundir and Henan Nazir contributed 36, 30 and 26 runs respectively. Abid Mushtaq and Ramdayal also chipped in with 23 and 21 runs respectively. Rishi Dhawan took 3 wickets for Himachal Pradesh, while Arpit N Guleria and GK Singh bagged 2 wickets each.
With this win Himachal Pradesh earned 4 vital points, while J&K has yet to open their account in this tournament.
