JAMMU, Nov 10: UT level Senior Basketball Championship, organised by Basketball Association of J&K, commenced at MA Stadium, here today.
Today’s men’s category matches were organised wherein Srinagar defeated STC Cubs by 51-40 points. Aniket of STC Cubs secured highest 23 points, while Ahmed from Srinagar clinched 19 points, while STC Warriors trounced District Reasi by 48-28 points, and District Samba beat Kathua by 46-19 points, besides STC Warriors got better of Jammu by 87-53 points.
In the women’s category, STC Terriers beat Reasi by 44-42 points and STC Warriors defeated Jammu by 27-5 points.
The matches were officiated by Shubham Sharma, Sachin Dogra, Rohan Kundal, Amanjot Singh, Hritik Khullar and Kiran Kour.
The tournament will culminate on November 12.
