Srinagar, Nov 10: Government College for Women today organized Women’s Volleyball Tournament-2021 which was inaugurated by Director College Prof Dr Yasmeen Ashai, here.
Prof Dr Nasreena Aman who is the Principal of the host College formally welcomed the guest of honour, Sports Secretary, Cluster University Prof Tariq Ashai and Director College Prof Yasmeen Ashai.
Dr Ashai encouraged the students to participate in the event and facilitated the Sports department for organizing the event
Twelve teams are participating in the tournament while the first match was played between Srinagar Women’s College Zakura and Amar Singh College Srinagar. Women’s College Zakura thrashed the opponent by 2-0
Second match was won by GDC Pulwama while the third match was played between AAAM Bemina and Women’s College Nawakadal which was won by the Women’s College Nawakadal by 2-0. The 4th match and the day’s last match was played between S P College Srinagar and AISE College of Education and was won by AISE College Education.
