Assar CC, Scout XI script wins in Civil Defence T20

Srinagar, June 27: In the ongoing Civil Defence T20 cricket tournament two matches were played at University of Kashmir, here.  In the first match, Assar CC defeated Star XI by 3 wickets.
Batting first, Star XI scored 119 runs against 10 wickets in 20 overs. Tanvir scored 24 runs and Saqib took 16 wickets, while Asif and Junaid took 2 wickets each for Assar CC. Asif scored 46 runs while Mohsin and Saqib took two wickets each for Star XI.
In the second match Scouts XI thrashed Syed Mirakshah CC by 41 runs. Batting first, Scout XI scored 169 runs against loss of 5 wickets with Ahmed Banday scoring 45 runs and Touseef Bazaz 41 runs. Present on the occasion were ASI (M) Shabir Ahmed Khan officiating Deputy Controller CD Srinagar and Coordinator Ghulam Rasool.
