Pitamber Lal Sharma Memorial Cricket Tourney

JAMMU, July 2: Friends Cricket Club (Friends CC) trounced Singh Challengers in 2nd semi-final match of the ongoing First Pitamber Lal Sharma Memorial Cricket Tournament and sailed into finals being played at Government Boys Higher Secondary School Akhnoor, here today.
Singh Challengers won the toss and elected to bat first. Batting first, the Challengers managed to score only 126 by losing all wickets in 18.3 overs. Vinod Magotra scored highest 27 runs, whereas Manav Mehta made 21 runs and Stephen and Jimmy Mangotra contributed 18 and16 runs respectively. For Friends CC, Shubham Chib was wrecker-in-chief who took four wickets, while Sumit, Sahil, Amit, Vipin and Jeshu shared one wicket each.
In reply, Friends Cricket Club chased the target in just 13.3 overs and registered five wickets victory over their opponents. Manik Sharma scored 45 runs, whereas Akarsh contributed 33 runs and Sourav Kumar made 20 runs. For Singh Challengers, Rajinder Sharma took two wickets and Manav, Abhinandan and Vinod bagged one wicket apiece for Singh Challengers.
Shubham was declared as man of the match for his outstanding bowling. Vikas Bali and Nikhil were umpires and Dev Bhagel acted as scorer in the match.
This tournament is being organized by Singh Cricket Club under overall supervision of Kr Sham Singh (General Secretary JKCA District Jammu).
